The rooftop portion is fantastic! I loved my experience here.

Set aside some time to look for parking - in this area of Edison Park, it's difficult to find a spot, especially during dinner time. Because we know the area, we parked in the neighborhood behind the playground (and it's FREE), and walked across it to get to the restaurant. I'm glad I was able to make a reservation at Tavern on the Point - upon our arrival, we saw cute glammed-up girls with their dads having dinner prior to their Father/Daughter Dance. Despite the busy-ness of the restaurant, the service was on point. Our server (Brandy..?) was very friendly, polite, and professional, and made sure to check up on me and my husband during our dinner. The ambience had a warm vibe with dim mood lighting, yet energetic with flat-screened TVs around the restaurant and a moderate noise level from the parties present. For drinks, I ordered a Moscow Mule and for him, an Old Fashioned. For eats, we ordered the brussel sprouts salad, the half-rack baby back ribs, and the short rib over penne (customized in place of the gnocchi); and for dessert, we had the raspberry cheesecake. I eliminated one star for the food due to the short-rib dryness and the cheesecake having a bit of a freezer-burn taste. Otherwise, our experience at this restaurant was very pleasant.

The food was excellent. The larger parts of the steak were a little chewy & the smaller parts were tender. The steak was perfectly seasoned & tasted great. I had 9 stalks of asparagus for &3.00. That's good. I was impressed with the amount of waffle fries I received as a $3.00 side. Great place.

Our high school reunion was so much fun there

Stopped by after visiting a local park in the area with my boyfriend! This place is seriously a gem. Hugo, the bartender, was incredibly personable, attentive and kind. The Halloween / fall decor / lighting was also something that we enjoyed!! The bar, bathrooms, etc were extremely clean, great atmosphere, and incredibly kind staff! Hugo and John were beyond awesome. The food and drinks were outstanding. We loved the spinach and artichoke dip! Hugo makes the best old fashions! Will be visiting when we are back in the area again without a doubt!

We had a fundraiser last night at Tavern. From the owner, to the event coordinator, bartenders, waiters, and manager: everyone was extremely hospitable and lovely. The food and service were great. We were cordoned off on the second floor, with access to both the inside and the patio; which made the ambiance for our event just right. Thank you Tavern for a seamless night of fun, great food and drinks!

We love this neighborhood gem! The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. We’ve dined in for lunch, dinner, Happy Hour specials and also attended an event hosted on the rooftop patio, and we loved every visit. The event was fantastic, in large part because of the wonderful environment and the generous hospitality of the owners and the staff. Will return again and again! Thank you, Tavern on the Point!

I highly recommend this establishment. It has great service, delicious food that in my opinion is excellent quality and well made. The ambiance is also top notch. Tasteful, clean, comfortable. Think leather, plaid, and tobacco. (No smoking but I'm talking about vibe) The bar area is super nice and chic. It has outdoor seating, a rooftop, but we enjoyed a comfortable cozy booth. We will definitely be back and recommend to friends. We had BLT (minus avocado) Grouper Sandwich, and Fish Tacos, and chicken sandwich from the lunch menu. Oh yes and good music but not so loud you have to shout. Nice background.

They have an open upstairs vibe that was the bomb, there were a lot of people but the room handled it.

Went for Easter Brunch was very veryblgood

I pulled up for a quick lunch while on the road. The wings were nice and crispy but still juicy. The burger and fries were on point. And the service was great! Tatiana took care of me and was super friendly and attentive. Great experience. I'll definitely be going back to try out some more items on the menu as they do have a very extensive menu.

We had a great time with a delicious dinner and a friendly and helpful waitress. We were also pleasantly surprised how easy it was to find parking.

Great place music was great at a loud but not so loud point. You can talk and laugh, and the drinks are AMAZING! Recommended the espresso martini!

Hey this place is great! Such a cool space and a huge menu with a ton of delicious options. My friend and I came here for Saturday brunch. Christina was our server and she was fantastic. We enjoyed several fabulous cocktails. I had the Godfather Sandwich with waffle fries: so good, so good! My friend had the short rib grilled cheese, which she said was awesome. The value was amazing for the price. I can't wait to come back!

We had our son’s 1st birthday upstairs and it was the best experience! They were so hands on and took all the pressure off. Mary Pat was amazing and worked on the event with me from the very beginning and during the event stayed there the whole time and did frequent check ins! 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to host another party here!

Tavern on the Point delivered an outstanding dining experience for our very large group (30+), and I couldn't be more impressed by their flexibility and hospitality. Originally, we had booked a table for a smaller group, but at the last minute, our party doubled in size. Despite the short notice, the staff at Tavern on the Point accommodated us with open arms, making us feel right at home. Our server was a true standout—she handled the logistics of splitting the check for such a large group with ease, all while maintaining a friendly, approachable attitude. Her attentiveness was exceptional, and she really made sure everyone was taken care of, no small feat given the size of our party. As for the food, it came out hot and fresh, and everyone was pleased with their meal. The quality of the dishes was consistent, and each plate was well-prepared. Despite the size of our party, everyone’s order came out correctly. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and the dining room and kitchen staff clearly worked well together to make sure everything ran smoothly. Overall, Tavern on the Point was a perfect spot for our gathering. They went above and beyond in terms of service, food quality, and accommodating our last-minute changes. It’s a place I’d recommend for both small and large groups, and I’ll definitely be back again. Parking: Metered parking on the street was plentiful during our visit mid-day on Saturday. Non-metered spots are also close by. We had several in our group come from the city on Metra as well.

We had a blast! Wonderful restaurant! And our server, Christina, was phenomenal! CHRISTINA REALLY MADE OUR EVENING SPECIAL! Thank you Christina! Moved from Chicago to Arkansas 5 years ago and back in town dog sitting. Took our two best friends out for their birthdays and found TAVERN ON THE POINT. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food but trust me the BRICK CHICKEN is very delicious. That's the entree Christina encouraged me to get and she was spot on. My buddy Chuck had the SURF AND TURF HAMBURGER and said he loved it. Wifey had the WALLEYE, she enjoyed it but caught a few bones here and there. Our other friend Mary had COBB SALAD WITH SALMON and thoroughly enjoyed it and had some to take home. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will be coming here again when back in town next time.

First time there, I went for a party and I was pleasantly surprised that the food that they catered was great. I absolutely loved their Italian sausage, vodka rigatoni, and their green beans. Delicious, the chicken was not bad either. If you were to have a party, I would recommend this place

We went on a Wednesday during happy hour, 3-6pm. Justin at the bar was delightful. We loved the Christmas decorations and Christmas music. My husband and I both had the short rib grilled cheese-delicious and just buttery enough. I wouldn’t change anything about our experience. We will be back! Thank you!

If you are looking for a beautiful and helpful venue, this is it! We had our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner here last month and couldn't have been more pleased. We worked with John and Mary Pat and they couldn't have been more sincerely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We know nothing about throwing parties from the food to the decorations and that is exactly Mary Pat's area of expertise. We live in the area and wanted to support a local business. Well, this is the place to go! We had the upstairs party room with the outdoor patio and it turned out to be a beautiful night especially with all the outdoor lighting. The food was served buffet style but didn't stay too warm unfortunately. We brought in a cake and they sliced and served it. The bartenders were gracious and efficient and they carefully bagged the remaining food for us. Thank you John and Mary Pat for making a special night even more meaningful! Looking forward to dining there soon!

Our service was exceptional tonight. I've had this place on my list of places to try for a long time and it did not disappoint. I'm so glad we finally had the chance to try it. I ordered the point chicken which was delicious. My husband ordered the short rib over gnocchi and I liked that just a smidge more so I think I would have enjoyed anything on the menu. It wasn't just our waitstaff that was great, it was every employee working that seemed to go above and beyond. I will definitely recommend and we will 100% be back.

Everything about our experience was great. We were greeted promptly and welcoming. Jordi was a personable server who provided excellent suggestions. We loved the Cobb Salad, Point Chicken and the side salad with house vinaigrette that we had in place of rice. Prices were all very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

The one and only Jay served us at the bar. Not only was he on point, with his dozens of drink orders, he was on point with our food and drink orders. Watching him make drinks was like watching albums Dumbledore cast spells. The food was amazing! Baja and brisket tacos, the perfect fuel for hating reviews. Six thumbs up, Jay! You rock!

Talk about a hidden gem! So happy I found this place! Stopped by during the week. We sat outside as the night was beautiful! They had the cubs game on which was an added treat!! I got their Smell as Sweet drink, it was the perfect summer "girl" drink! For dinner I had the Rigatoni chicken Pesto! SO delicious!! Our server was great! Super friendly and gave us great drink recommendations!

Went there tonight after meeting one of the owners (joe) several weeks ago. It was date night and we really enjoy great food, great service and a great atmosphere. TAVERN OTP DELIVERED! We had initially tried to sit on the rooftop deck, however we were a bit cold so we moved back downstairs with ease. We were greeted by our new server ( sorry, I forgot her name) and began to peruse the menu. Some items that stood out were the spinach Artichoke dip. Very cheese and tasty. A few more toast points would have been cool. We were asked by Joe later but had moved on to the Kale and Apple salad with Feta and dried cranberries. Really tasty, fresh and vibrant. We split the salad as it was fairly large. Next, my date was very excited for the lamb chops and Mashed potatos. It's one of her faves. I can only imagine how delicious it was as I noticed her pick up the bone with her hands like a beautiful wild beast feasting on her catch of the day I can tell she was definitely immersed in a carnivores fever dream. I ordered the filet, medium with garlic Mashed. The steak was grilled well and full of flavor. The Mashed potatos were perfectly garlicky. We enjoyed everything. At one point Joe the owner evern came by the table to say hello. It was a very touching gesture. Very pleasant fellow. My date really enjoys the special little moments like that as we both spent many years in both front and back of house respectively. Thankyou for a great dinner out on a Tuesday night.

Our team at Cozzini Bros recently held a dinner at Tavern on the Point, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the moment Bridget (our PM) started planning, Mary Pat French was phenomenal to work with. Her attention to detail and dedication to ensuring everything went smoothly was greatly appreciated. The venue itself was perfect, and everyone on our team loved it the best out of all the options. The service was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. Every dish was delicious, and the staff made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. A huge thank you to Mary Pat French and the entire team at Tavern on the Point for making our summit dinner such a memorable event. We highly recommend this venue for any corporate or special event!

This place is great. The staff here is amazing. You have several options to spend your time. The place is spacious on the main level but there is an upstairs patio that's great for those nice days. Oh and the food is incredible as well. Highly suggest this place as there us always something going on from live music to games. Check their FB page for the latest.

Where the menu has something for everyone and the food will have you planning your next visit as soon as you leave! Ordered: Carrot Cake French Toast - This dish was super fun and delicious. The French toast was cooked perfectly. Topped off with creamy vanilla frosting and sprinkled with crunchy, crispy carrot pieces. This dish is perfect for carrot cake lovers or for any French toast fan! The maple syrup on top was the perfect addition and an obvious necessity in any French toast dish. Monte Cristo - This sandwich was gourmet. It didn't even need jam because it included a side of maple syrup. Would definitely order this sandwich again! Hibiscus Refresher - This drink was fruity, refreshing, and filled with whole blueberries. Plus, I'm a sucker for anything hibiscus! Diet Coke Avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago by visiting Tavern on the Point! From the friendly service to the vibe-filled indoor and outdoor spaces, the @tavernpointchi should be at the top of your list of spots to visit this summer!

Well the prices are okay and great service and a very clean place and the roof top is phenomenal

This is a review for their private events. I haven't been there as a regular restaurant patron (yet). I attended Mr. P's high school reunion in their upstairs space. The staff was phenomenal. We arrived about 10 minutes before the event began, so I was privy to hearing the staff game plan about the upcoming party. It was nice to hear them talking through everything, not just waiting for the event to start and then winging it. They asked the host when to set out the food and it was set out right on time. They were sufficiently staffed on bartenders and servers so there were only brief waits for drinks and servers floated around the event getting needed items and tidying up used dishes. Everything stayed clean despite the crush of people. The food was unbelievable. I would have considered it excellent if it was served to me as an individual diner. To get it in bulk from a buffet and still have that quality was top notch. The pasta and meatballs were delicious. The beef sliders were a bit dry but easily remedied by dunking them in the pasta sauce or marinara. The facility was lovely as well We briefly saw the downstairs as we left and it looked cool. We were upstairs, accessible through a narrow stairway (and I assume an elevator?) The lighting is dimmer, but not dark, with high top tables and a nice bar. The second floor outdoor patio is great, with lots of tables and a small area with couches.

Reunion monthly with co workers

We rented out the whole first floor and they gave us some of the second floor for my wifes celebration of life. She passed away from a quick very rare cancer. The whole staff did a remarkable job. They got hit with a couple hundred people at once they weathered the storm with a smile and did a great job. The food was excellent and they made it very special for a sad day. Thank you Kathy for everything. Another thing if you rent it out pay extra $100 for a valet guy. We'll worth it.

Great outdoor seating with a dog friendly patio. The food was great and The staff was so nice. There was an issue with our order, but the manager corrected it and took care things immediately without any fuss. Will be back!

My Dad had a celebration of life event here last weekend for his Sister and it was absolutely perfect! The upstairs area was so spacious and I loved being able to sit both inside and outside. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were delicious, I especially liked the Rigatoni Vodka Sauce! Such a great atmosphere in this place! Highly recommend!

Had my college graduation party held on the rooftop terrace/upstairs bar. From the superb planning, logistics, and organization of the venue months out with Mary Pat, to day-of service and hospitality with Kasha, Christine, and Katie; the Tavern outshined every expectation. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on the venue and food the duration and post-event. The Tavern truly made an already proud occasion everlasting and momentous. Will definitely be hosting another event here soon!

We had a private event last night and it was fantastic! Food was great and the staff was well over a 5 star review. Diego the bartender was quick, friendly, accommodating and super friendly. Bob literally took charge and packed up all our food and decorations. He even help load our truck.

Too bad they don't have buy 2, get 1 free! Our waitress was outstanding, but the food was just a little better! Great place, excellent menu choices, unfortunately one item we wanted was sold out. Absolutely worth a visit, and we'll be back, when we're back in town from Michigan.

We went off hours. It's our lunch spot now! Staff was helpful and attentive and the food was really good. The music is a little loud for conversation tho. I've recommended this place to folks. We had the Brussels sprouts app and asked the waitress to bring an entree and surprise us. She brought fish tacos which were fantastic. We'd order them again.

Great EP place to meet family an friends.. The two brothers that own it are friendly an oversee the day to day operations. Both John a Joe stopped by our table an introduced themself an to see if my party needed anything an even bought us a round of cocktails. For sure we will be going again an again.

We stopped here for drinks and appetizers after attending a memorial service. Staff was attentive and drinks and food were good. We are not Chicago residents and we were unfamiliar with this neighborhood. But i found this place on Yelp and spent a few hours here catching up with friends in this pleasant bar/restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. It was a cute neighborhood hang out.

I have been to this establishment a few times, but felt compelled to write a review today. The food has always been very good & reasonably priced. Today was Irish Sunday Funday. If anyone has been to this event in the Edison Park area, you know it is pretty busy. We had a reservation for 8. The place was pretty packed, as they had the bag pipers, Irish dancers & live music to entertain the customers. During this hectic day our server, Beverly, couldn't have been more attentive to us. She would check in on us periodically to see if we needed additional drinks or food items. Not only was she serving our table & a couple of others, she was also bartending behind the bar. Beverly knew how to hustle & barely broke a sweat. Even under pressure, she continuously came to check-in on us with a big smile & to accommodate our needs. We will definitely be back!!

Great spot for a casual drink with friends and family. They have a nice 2nd floor patio and a 1st floor patio. The bathrooms are always clean.

Been here twice soon to be thrice. First time we sat on the rooftop patio. We got unlimited mimosas and loved whoever the live DJ was! Second time showed up to meet a friend and got to do a free Woodford tasting which was awesome! From what I understand there's always something go there. And with nice weather around the corner I'll see ya there! Great place! Question for the owners, what days do you typically have live music?

Excellent bartenders and the food was fabulous. I had the bacon wrapped jalapeños and wings. They were excellent! The beer was ice cold and served in frosty glasses. I'll be back!

Always a good time. This tavern with excellent food fits the bill for just about whatever you need. From lunch to dinner to late night eats and drinks. Food, service and ambiance are all great at Tavern on the Point.

First time for us at Tavern on the Point and certainly will not be the last. The inside had a warm ambience/good vibes, and our server Alyssa was extremely attentive and very friendly. Our food came out perfect. My skirt steak tasted delicious, while my wife really enjoyed their salmon. Overall a true neighborhood gem with fantastic service and equally as good food. We definitely plan to keep this place high on our rotation.

We had my husband's Victory over Cancer party at TOTP. We booked the upstairs room and balcony. It is a gorgeous set up. Even though it rained for the majority of the night, the staff set up the umbrellas on the balcony so our guests could still enjoy the outdoor area. Kathy was an amazing event coordinator! She literally took care of everything. I didn't need to prepare anything except some small table decorations. The lighting and ambience of the space would have been enough. Justin was our bartender and made sure everyone had a great time. Because of our large party, Kathy jumped in as the 2nd bartender so our guests didn't have to wait more than a few minutes to order a drink. Diego set up the food in a buffet style and continued to clear off plates and glasses from tables throughout the night. He was on top of it all. The team made our night so special and we'll never forget it! Highly recommend TOTP for a party!

I left a review almost a year ago with 4 stars. There were some small things I didn't like. Wanted to update and change it, but couldn't find it. So- here we are again! This time 5 stars going to Tavern on the Point! Food is perfect as the last time! Service is even more than great! Jordy was our server and I want to prise that girl! She is really nice, friendly, dedicated to work and pleasant person! We didn't make a reservation, but since it wasn't busy we asked to be sited outside, and we were. Atmosphere was good too. And, not to forget to mention that we got 2 appetisers FREE! Don't remember what was a deal today, but we got 2 free appetisers:-D. All in all- no mistake this time! Place is definitely great and everyone should give it a try! Rooftop is for sure the best addition to this place!

Fun times at Tavern on the Point! I most recently hosted almost 20 people here for a birthday brunch. The staff was great and did their best to keep the mimosas, Bloody Mary's and other cocktails coming. They have a fun brunch menu and drink package. Dinner options are great too--I really like the fish tacos. Patio seating is great for getting sun and people watching. Trivia is fun when they have it, too. Wish they did it more!

They gave us free fries and were super super friendly 🙂 def going again the drinks were good too
